BLAIRE POSTMAN COMEDY
Blaire Postman is a high energy, down-the-rabbit-hole stand-up comedian with no chill. Her unexpected material includes tales of living with recovering alcoholics and the history of Super Bowl half time shows.
She has been featured on PBS NewsHour, The Happy Trucker Radio Show, and on streaming services for NBC affiliates around the country.
Blaire's been an officially selected performer at the San Francisco Sketchfest, Limestone Comedy Festival, 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival (where she was named "Best of the Fest"); Asheville Comedy Festival, 208 Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, Bird City Comedy Festival, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival among other super fun ones.
She's opened for world-class headliners at wonderful clubs & theaters including Goodnight's (Raleigh), The DC Improv, The Comedy Attic (Bloomington), Arlington Drafthouse, House of Comedy (AZ), DC Comedy Loft, Richmond Funny Bone, DC Drafthouse Comedy and many more.
Blaire headlines indy clubs and established alt rooms including Comedy Corner Underground (Minneapolis); Burning Bridges Comedy Club (Pittsburgh); Dead Crow Comedy Club (Wilmington, NC); LaZoom Room (Asheville, NC); Church of Satire Comedy Club (Hanover, PA) and a growing collection of cool, low ceiling basements and back rooms across this fine nation.
In addition to those above, Blaire has also showcased at clubs such as the Acme Comedy Club (MN), New York Comedy Club, Stand Up New York, The Liquid Room (Boise), The Velveeta Room (Austin), The Big Hunt (DC), The Comic Strip, Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club; and at established alt rooms including Side Pony Tail (Brooklyn), Bitches Brew (Brooklyn), Too Many Cooks (NYC), Lap Dance Saloon (NYC), Good Heroin (LA) & Drunk on Stage (LA).
She is also producer & co host of My Fantasy Wife, the weekly sports meets comedy meets pop culture podcast, now approaching episode #200; Is host of the weekly "Tight 5/Loose 5" online showcase/podcast (in conjunction with DC Comedy Loft) has appeared on podcasts including Erin Foley's Sports Without Balls; and her written work has been featured in WICF Daily.
Originally from a small New Jersey suburb just north of NYC, Blaire lived much of her adult life in Washington, DC, with a couple stints in NYC & Chicago mixed in.
However, she didn't start stand-up in earnest until she moved to the small beach-side city of Wilmington, NC, and is now again based in DC.
